While tailored for Canadian fixed and rotary wing pilots, this app can assist remotely piloted aircraft (VLOS) owners in preparing for the RPAS. Additional information is required for drone pilots regarding rules for unmanned aircraft systems not covered within the PSTAR app.

Prior to their initial solo flight in Canada, student pilots must pass the Transport Canada PSTAR (Pre-Solo Test about Air Regulations) exam, focusing on air regulation knowledge. The app is equipped with all 185 questions from the official Transport Canada Study Guide, TP11919, regularly updated with current inquiries.

The PSTAR exam conducted at Flight Schools comprises 50 questions selected from this pool of 185. By dedicating a few evenings per week to study via this app, achieving a satisfactory grade should be easily attainable. The pass threshold stands at 90%, turning exam preparation into an efficient and effective process.
